چکیده

Rice, the predominant food crop in India, is being grown traditionally with improper plant nutrient management mostly under flooded situation. Recent advancement research on science focuses water-saving rice technologies for maximization and water productivity backdrop of a shrinking resource base ensuring environmental agricultural sustainability. Under this situation, an experiment was conducted two consecutive years split-plot design keeping cultivation methodologies, viz., aerobic culture, System Rice Intensification (SRI), conventional culture main plots integrated (INM) treatments sub-plots. The aimed at understanding effects different production systems INM content, uptake, use efficiency. change soil quality parameters also studied to understand impact establishment methods (CEM) options. Significant reduction (p ? 0.05) uptake efficiency observed compared SRI method, although showed highest physiological nitrogen Post-harvest available Fe status significantly lower (mean 10.39 ppm) other technologies; however, Zn higher over Although potassium not affected due methods, phosphorus were influenced remarkably. Soil microbial improved comparison rice. proved be most efficient method enhancement efficiency, enrichment chemical microbiological quality. Integrated nutrient management and LCC based nitrogen management on soil fertility and yield of rice (Oryza Sativa L.)

The experiment was conducted at lowland series of wet lands, International Rice Research Institute (IRRI) Farm, Los Banos, Laguna, Philippines. The rice variety PSBRc 82 was raised during wet season (June – October), and the experiment was laid out in randomized block design with four replications. There were eleven treatments viz., control, recommended NPK fertilizer, -N, -P, -K, LCC 3, LCC 4,...

Maize productivity and nutrient use efficiency in Western Kenya as affected by soil type and crop management

Low soil fertility and high weed infestation are the main culprits for the declining maize production inWestern Kenya. Technology packages to address these constraints exist, but their effectiveness is likely to be influenced by variability in soil types and farm management practices in the region. Trials were conducted during the 2008/2009 cropping seasons to investigate the nutrient use e...

Rice Production and Nutrient Management in India

The demand for rice in India is projected at 128 million tonnes (M t) for the year 2012 and will require a production level of 3,000 kg/ ha...significantly greater than the present average yield of 1,930 kg/ ha. This low level of productivity can be increased substantially by growing high yielding varieties/hybrids and by increasing both the area under balanced fertilizer use and application ra...
